- WHAT IS THE INVESTMENT?
-
Packages start at $1800. Some years I offer Limited Edition Mini Sessions. If you would like more details or are interested in booking, please use the contact form.
- HOW LONG ARE SESSIONS?
-
Senior sessions are typically 1 1/2-3 hours long depending on location(s). We take a lot of photos! We have lots of fun along the way, so it goes by fast. This is your day to shine, and I promise to make it worth all the time, money and effort invested. I don't put a limit on our time, so we can determine what is best for you!
Most my shoots are scheduled during the week in the late afternoon to avoid crowds and in the late afternoon, but weekend dates are also available.
- WILL I LOOK LIKE MYSELF AFTER HAIR/MAKEUP?
-
I get this question often. I work with several incredible hair and makeup artists that are knowledgeable about photo ready makeup. They put the finishing touch on that makes all the difference. Most my Seniors choose a natural look.
- WHAT LOCATIONS DO YOU USE?
-
I love variety and will find the perfect location(s) that match your personality, wether that be a city, country, garden, or combo backdrop. I have lots of fun areas in Austin, Cedar Park, Round Rock and Georgetown I am always open to fun new locations too and am always scouting out unique places for my Seniors.
- IS SPRING, SUMMER, FALL or WINTER BETTER?
-
This is a personal preference and I would say choose the time that you may not be as busy in school with sports, testing and extracurricular activities. Many Seniors like early fall because they may still be sporting a tan, but it can also still be a bit toasty outside in Texas! If your school requires photos for slideshows or the yearbook, fall or winter is a good choice because often times deadlines are in February/March.
Winter is an option for those that want an urban location (no flowers and not much greenery!). This also tends to be a less busy time for a lot of Seniors. The weather is also a lot cooler!
Spring is a popular choice as it brings lots of fresh flowers and greenery, but can also bring the rain! If you want a spring session, you will still have photos in plenty of time for graduation announcements.
I generally do not do senior summer sessions because of the Texas heat. No one wants sweaty senior photos!
There are trade offs for each season. We live in Texas, so the weather is usually beautiful during all seasons and a variety of outfits can be chosen. If you need more help deciding, please let me know!
- WHAT DO I WEAR?
-
I always recommend 3 outfits. One casual, one more formal, and one that is the Senior's choice...out of the box, something fun or a hobby or important activity in their life. A fourth option is a college t-shirt, prom dress, or cap & gown. Layers and textures look great! For girls-accessorize, bring jewelry, fun shoes, etc. For guys-consider a suit or more formal outfit for one of your choices. Most importantly, choose outfits that fit your personality. Planning ahead and feeling confident in your outfits helps make the session a success. Variety is key and you can find a lot of inspiration on my Instagram of past Senior sessions.
- WHEN SHOULD I BOOK?
-
Typically Erica Woodford Photography begins booking one year in advance. So if your student is a Junior, now is the time! The session fee deposit ensures your Senior will have a spot when I release available dates. Most sessions are during the weekday with limited weekend appointments.
- CAN I BRING PROPS?
-
Yes! Please do if you have a hobby, sport, or activity that is an important part of your life. I consider family pets one of the best props of all! So feel free to bring your furry friend for some photos too!
- WHAT IS YOUR STYLE?
-
My style is colorful, classy, fun and timeless. I take a mix of natural and posed shots to cover all kinds of looks. Please check out the gallery as well as my Instagram and Facebook for beautiful past clients that showcase my style.
- WHAT IF THE WEATHER ISN'T IDEAL?
-
I keep a watchful eye on the weather as our session approaches, but we all know that Texas weather can change on a dime. In the event that Mother Nature does not cooperate due to rain, wind or excessive heat, a decision is usually made the day before to reschedule. I include several makeup days in my schedule to make rescheduling as smooth as possible.
- HOW DO I VIEW MY PHOTOS?
-
About two weeks after your session, I will send you a private gallery with all your edited images. This is where the fun begins and you get to choose your favorite images.
- DO YOU RETOUCH YOUR PHOTOS?
-
I go through every image to choose the best photos for you to view in your gallery. I hand edit those to remove stray hair and blemishes, (but you will look natural, with normal skin!) and add my signature style with a pop of color.
- WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU OFFER?
-
I offer both digital and boutique items such as albums, prints, canvases, mini albums, and graduation signs.
